Doug
have you tried any homebrew shops ? I bought one from the homebrew shop closest to me (Tru Bru) and he's fairly reasonable. I can't remember how much though. Many homebrew shops will allow you to rent one, but this was one of the few who actually sells them outright. hope this helps

Doug
The homebrew shops who sell them outright would be the better bet in the long run. Depending on how much CO2 you would use in a year, you may be paying $40 for a fill every year that may not be required. I think with my bottle, it worked out that after about two and a half years, it would have paid for itself (ie the equivalent of renting), plus, I've never had to refill mine yet (mind you, I'm only using it for home brew and not in the aquarium)...let us know how you go with the homebrew shops and what they are charging for a tank. regards,
woocoo
Last time I looked at a CO2 bottle in the local Home brew shop on the coast about 6 months ago, I think they wanted about $260 to purchase and $20.00 for a refill and I think is was a 4.5kg bottle, I currently rent a 10KG bottle from BOC and pay $33.00 and quarter for rental of bottle, so as soon as she empties I am going to purchase my own. Worth the initial outlay. Try this link shows QLD shops that sell and regas bottles. http://www.mykegonlegs.com.au/filling.html#qld chris
