Platydoras costatus

Recommended Posts

Quite hardy fish actually. Adaptable to most aquarium conditions, but they do like a good high protien diet.

Depends what sort of tank you are keeping them in, they are not aggressive feeders, so don't compete well with 'hungry gutzes' who gobble all the good bits.

Feeding just before lights out is a good idea in a community tank. Tetra tabs, tetra bits, or AOA bits is not a bad choice when feeding.

They are partial to live worms,,,,,white worms, grindle worms, black worms, and chopped/minced earthworms.

I have not managed to breed them yet, even though they are not considered dificult. Not holding my tongue right I guess.
