kurt27
go for it!! can be done cheaply man... take your time and nap the bargains that pop up. understand the power of sponge filters, grab a cheap 2nd hand air pump, build ya own stand or buy a cheap one. source all 2nd hand tanks. the stock should be the dearest part... Aldobug
is it a good idea to get a sump or not? i can get a 3ft sump for $160 and theres a guy selling 2 4x15x18 tanks as new for 70 each. cheap as. and i can get sponge filters for $8 and a stand might cost me 60-70 to build. kurt27
alot of people run setups purely on sponges.... 160 for a small sump seems expensive once you factor in media... buy an old tank and have a crack yaself! those 4x15s do sound appealing... grab a cheap chinese glass hole saw from china on ebay and start drilling! kurt27
oh and dont setup a rack if your thinking you will make money... truth is most 'big' breeders can break even with costs, maybe start making profit. do it for fun man
