shadowtetra
Hi guys I've just bought a 4 ft tanks about 3 weeks ago. It's pretty much a commuity tank Lately I've notice that some of my plants are getting holes in them (pic is below) Just wondering if my flagtail (only about 7cm) could of done it or is it some other reason? I also leave my 3 ft light on 8 hr a day is that enough? Dave
Merkinater
Hey Dave, What other fish do you have in the tank? Do you have snails or bristlenose? Both of these like to munch on plants/wood. Also 8hrs is heaps of light for plants, photosynthesis occurs after 5hrs (from my highschool days, I think?).... Tim
DVS969
Yeah Tim its 5 hours, I get the same thing on my plants from snails, They have reduced a couple of my plants down to stalks. I hate snails.
