cando423
Hey everyone I am setting up a 3ft sump. I am chasing some bio balls, those clay noodle things etc it is filtering an American tank. Just thought I would through it out there and see what people hade before I go and buy new stuff. LEG-IT
Try clay ball's also known as Aqua clay or hyrdroton, readily available at local nursery's/hydroponics shop, should cost around $25-$35 for a 50l bag, i believe it has an effective surface area of 260-280 m2/l, just remember bio balls are basically useless if used fully submerged; best use in a wetdry/trickle system..
