bisqotti Posted September 8, 2011 Report Share Posted September 8, 2011 hey guys, i got a little mangrove jack about a week ago, just wondering if there usually really shy? he is only around 12cm,all he seems to do his hide amongst the drift wood, wont eat unless you walk away etc? will this go away as it gets bigger? dditt Posted September 8, 2011 Report Share Posted September 8, 2011 what jacks have you owned? lol the two i've had both grew out of it very quickly, and happily attacked the glass as i came close, one lived on its own the other in a tank with other natives i'd say they're like any fish, they all develop their own personality. DavidTullee Posted September 8, 2011 Report Share Posted September 8, 2011 yeah thats a bit like my saratoga was, it was very timid and you used to have to walk up to the tank very slowly or it would shit itself, but after spending a heap of time in front of the tank and feeding it every time i came to the tank it now is much happier and comes to greet you.
