Hennessy
Anyone on here wanna make some cash by repairing an 8ft tank at Redcliffe? Large crack from top to (almost) bottom of front panel. Otherwise can anyone recommend a business they know that does this on location?
simmo2302
better to throw it away and buy a new one. unless done by a professional w/ warranty most insurance companies wont touch you, and if you backyard job it & the worst happens they wont cover you as DIY would void the insurance. Hennessy
dont have the glass... tank is in a chiropractors office, so looking for someone who can do the whole job not just silicone in a piece of glass. I.E. go there, measure up, get glass, empty tank, repair tank and reinstall everything when ready. Edited October 25, 2011 by Hennessy

Hennessy
Howd you crack it? Curious.... Did it make a mess? Stand aint perfectly level so thats my guess... apparently glass is only 6mm thick too and its like 6ft. Its not leaking yet believe it or not. Peter
Are you sure the tank damage is not already covered under your insurance policy - glass breakage etc - and therefore you may be entitled to a whole new tank????
