tropheusmike
I have a pair of Albino Bristlenose that have bred once successfully. Since then they keep laying the eggs but within two days they are all gone. The eggs go see through and then fall apart. The odd one goes white. Are they not fertilized? This has happened with the last two batches. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
BristlenoseGirl
Does the male Fan in the log/laying area all the time? Are they laying in the same place everytime? Have you checked ph, and done water tests? After she lays and he fertalises... you could take the eggs out and put into a tumbler.. (I just use a small fighter tank with an air stone and do daily water changes from main tank).. Hope this helps..
tropheusmike
Thanks yes they do lay in the same place each time and he is a great father, he is very protective and fans constantly. Water levels etc all fine, we check regularly and do regular water changes. We were thinking about taking the eggs out next time and see if it makes a difference. Brengun
By all means steal the eggs and see how they go. At least you will know then if they are fertile or not.
