Sclero p
"Freshwater Mullet" is a broad term a few species of Mullet are found in freshwater. If they are feeding they will be fine. Best not to put them back if they have been in a tank.

Yodapwnsasmurf
I have a few that seem invincible, they have been in my ponds and in tanks with now deaths! Great fish, I really like them!
greenterra
Even though you got them from the wild, it would be a bad idea to put them back once they have been in captive care. You could unknowingly introduce any aquarium strain virus, disease or pathogens etc back into the natural water ways.
