scott95
hey guys, just wanted to know how all of you resolve an issue, such as iun my case i have sold a fish tank and 4 b/n 2 weeks back, just had contact and the tank 'wasnt' watertight, so i would like to know what all of you recommend. FYI the tank was emptied the morning the buyer came to collect and held water thanks
clayton31
alot can happen in 2 weeks ..maybe it was the way it was moved maybe not...but IMO 2 weeks is to late
Dubster
tell them to stick it, every time i have sold a tank i empty it in front of the buyer that way if something happens in transit or when ever its not your problem
scott95
The thing is also that i was told the four b/n i sold had a serious case of fin rot down to the bone, but they were fine by my rekoning when i had sold them, only a nip or two from some cichlids. The Tech Den
Depends on what he wants you to do about it, if it is a simple request then you might want to do it just to make it easy. Would suggest that if the buyer has a problem then he should put it through the dispute resolution process. http://www.qldaf.com/forums/live-stock-14/dispute-resolution-section-process-follow-38724/ Airing it here does not do anyone any favors. That way a non bias resolution is sorted.
aquaaddict
see the hassles when you sell something cheap...if only he spent the extra and took the water too. sounds a bit too much after two weeks, stand your ground.
scott95
it wasnt a sale made through here, it was through gumtree, i am beginning to think that the person has nocked the tank and its cracked, so now they want a refund. i will not be able to do that. I do not have any money, and i am not prepared to fork out my money.
The Tech Den
Well I guess you just answered your own question...sorted
gollys
Buying second hand is always a risk - and people know that - there is really nothing that can be done, he will just have to put it down to experience and replace the tank or repair it. Such a shame when things go pear shaped. A good idea to drain when the buyer is still there, I shall remember that if I ever sell a tank. It could have been weakened in transit too.
