DVS969
Going to get a bigger air pump in the next couple of months and have been looking at the PondOne pump, Reason why Im going towards these is the 110l/hr pump only uses 60W power which is around 30 to 50W less than other pumps of the same volume and cost $170 (Cheapest I've found so far), So the thing I want to know is are they reliable, Don't want it to shit itself or loose a heap of pressure in a year. cram
I tried one a little while ago - moved bulk air was just a little too loud for under my house. Can't comment on reliability etc
Hellboy
hi DVS969. Dont u mean 110L/min Try RPC for purchasing one of these. Can comment on noise factor, Alternatively if you want quite go with Resun LP range shop around online and Get one from AOA. Resun use a little more power than pondone. Go with our sponsors best prices. Got a LP60 here that Im not using anymore if your interested? How many air lines do u need to support?
DeadFishFloating
The LP series are big and clunky. But quiet and reliable. Have to admit to being a long term fan of them. Probably time to find some new diaphragms for me 40's and 60's tho Looking forward to trying out a pondone tho the new aquaone stuff is getting so much better looking forward to seeing what the future has in store with them Edited December 19, 2011 by DeadFishFloating

Melburn
I run the 12000 model currently, bought it 2nd about 12 months ago. The thing hasn't missed a beat but it is a lil noisy. To be honest if your running air filtration then the sponges bubbling away hides the hum it gives. I'm runnin 14 hoses from it I'd say get either the lp60 or the 12000
Redlands Pet Centre
We have been running 4 of the Pond One Air Pumps in our shop for over 4 years and they haven't missed a beat. As for noise, it is hard to say as I can't hear them over the other noises around them like running water and the airstones in the tanks. We have sold heaps of these and never had one back for any reason, including new diaphragms. I am writing this from home but I think our current forum member price for the 12000 is $149.99 from memory. If I am wrong I will amend this tomorrow, but I am almost positive that is the right price. Regards Russ
DVS969
Yeah sorry, Meant 110 l/min, lol. Im running an LP60 atm but with 13 sponges running off it now my K1 has a couple of small dead spots from less air going to the sump, Plus Im planning to add another 6 or so more sponge onto it in the new year, Looks like Pond One is the go, Can't imagine why they aren't more popular. I've always had good things to say about Aqua One, there filters have always been really reliable and keep the tank pretty clean, Noise I can live with (Can't be any worse then the Otto twin outlets that sound like chainsaws, lol) Ill give ya a ring in the new year to see if have any in stock Russ. Thanks for the info guys, Muchly appreciated.
cram
re noise - should just clarrify - noise is subjective and dependent on situation - my tanks are/were under our highset house (below my sons room and our lounge) - the noise from the air pump comes up through the floor boards although the bubbles/spray bars are pretty much muffled out. So i will be looking for a very quiet pump in the future - I'm not sure what db the pond one runs at (couldn't find the specs anywhere), but probably more than 45 or so db of the quieter (and much more expensive air pumps). Didn't mean to suggest that they are hugely loud - just a bit louder than what I'm willing to put up with in my situation. other than that, they look like a pretty good pump with good air flow vrs wattage specs (which is why I initially gave it a run) - in any event, for the price, power consumption and air flow they seem like a great piece of kit. go for it.
