shay
got home last night only to find "red" swimming around slowly on his side and upside down as well as breathing heavy. imidiatly done a 50% water change with prime and added more salt. trying to keep as calm as i could i decided the only thing i could think of doing at this point was to wait it out from there and check him in the morning. finding it difficult to sleep I anxiously had to check him at about 2am. found him laying partially on his side at the bak of the tank leaning against the glass and a log, and also breathing very fast, he was an almost white blotchy colour. at this point i was beginning to prepare for the worst. woke up this morning at 5:30 and reluctantly poked my head round the corner expecting to see redman belly up. but no. to my suprise he is now swimming around quite normally apart from looking at tat disorientated and his breathing seems to be near normal. Any thoughts on what may have caused this aside from eating a bad pilli, or even one of my toddler kids maybe sneaking dishwashing liquid in the tank lol. raycam01_au
do u know your water parameters on a normal basis or are u juss adding salt whenever u feel like it? added more salt. this area is one of the most overlooked ones, people thinking when i do a water change juss throw little bit here or there? so maybe check this and ensure there is a level of awareness in the salinity of the tank hth's
