mermaid
I was just interested to find the best position to place a spray bar I have mine on the end pointed horizontal at water level which then pushes all the waste back to same end making an easier clean. bristlenosejohn
Hey John, I usualy put the spray bar/ outlet in areas and ways that suit what fish I have in that tank.. Ie discus .... Take the bar off and have outlet pipe virtical so water streams dirrectly down and doe not give a huge current, Most african tanks and also americans I have at one end so as to create a current effect. so it all depends on what the fish need to be happy/ mimic natural enviroment mate, I hope this helps out. Cheers Johno
Grumundi
Spray bar is abit of a myth really, breaking the surface tension gets oxygen into the water, not spraying it like all hell, best bet is to get it to break the water tension when going in, and point it in a way that you have no dead water in the tank, by dead water I mean water that isn't getting turned over.
