Brengun
Try a bit of cucumber and just a hikari algae wafer or something bland like veg flake. At least if it sits a while it won't go off like meaty stuff can and give them a belly ache later on.

tutters187
Make sure you have some driftwood in with them to.
Keegan013
Also try place the food near the area they spend most time near. Its a big tank for a few little fish they might find it hard to find the food.
dave
Guys these fish are carnivores so cucumber etc is a waste of time. Try some shrimp pellets or carnivore tabs. Dave
Brengun
Obviously you have not read the Peckoltia compta L134 dietary specification Dave. They are not true carnivores at all, they are omnivores meaning they eat a bit of everything. Many times in the past I have listened to ppl say oh yes plecs are carnivores so I fed a lovely meaty diet and my plecs paid the price of it with their lives when they died of bloat. dave
I feed mine exclusively a carnivorous diet and i have regular breeders with no signs of bloat for over 6 years !!!! Go figure ! This was information i was given by another breeder of these guys and it has not let me down yet, not from an anonymous forum or the like, real world experience is the only thing i believe in. Brengun
Perhaps the green side of things is hidden in the makeup of the shrimp pellets or carnivore tabs you use. What sorts are they? Always on the look out for good stuff.
