Joddy92
hey can u hook a canister filter up to do the same thing as a sump tank? and if so is it hard? i currently have 2 2foot tanks and a 2.5foot tank, and i want to get a couple more tanks and put em all on a stand with just one filter system to save power and make keeping water quality easier. any help would be great i'm a fish noob. cheers wade

The Tech Den
Hey Wade I think you would have to go a sump mate as a canister would be a bit hard to split the water lines for incoming and outgoing and just would not have the power to do the job properly. Oh unless you use a dry pump and do not power the canister and connect the dry pump to the outgoing hose connection. Just be a bit messy and cleaning the canister would be all too often. So possible just not recommended.
