brizmale28
is it normal for L202 males to eat the eggs. before i went to bed last night had 20-30 eggs looked this morning have three which i managed to save. there is outercasing around the tank and my male is looking really really fat. do they do that. looks like its back to the drawing board with breeding L's again. Brengun
Shining a torch up the log can make them feel unsafe and they eat the eggs too. My best breeding results have been when I didnt know they had spawned and they just did their own thing.
The Tech Den
Where did you find the three eggs? Were they in the log?

The Tech Den
Would think that would be it then - either not fertilized or freaked out. Don't be too hard on the little fella it was his first go and he should get better each time...

The Tech Den
What are you feeding them? When they are dead what do you notice? Are they thin between the pectoral and pelvic fins?
brizmale28
no they usually have only just dropped their eggs sacs off their belly and within a day or so they are dead. i know one of the times i left them in with the whole colony and i was told that the other females would have killed them
