Daharkazangel
My bn male kicked a hatched egg out of his log. He has never done this before. Me being me, I saved it and put it in a safe breeder net. What are the chances it will survive? I can see its heart beating. It doesn't seem to be able to wiggle like the others but, could it just be a late wiggler??
Daharkazangel
He is still alive...

luckyfish
Stick him in a tumbler, chances are he'll survive if he's a wiggler
Daharkazangel
He doesn't wiggle but his heart beats. He's using his yolk sack....he should wiggle hey. And I don't own a tumbler
luckyfish
just make sure he gets enough water flow, you don't want him sitting still and getting fungus. the reason the male stays in the cave is to fan oxygen over the eggs
Ashlum
Was cleaning out my pond filter today and found three bn which were smaller then 1cm. I was given 3 adults about 6 months ago and tossed them into my pond. Wahoo so they seem to b hardy because my pond is full of goldfish, platties, guppies, mollies, cories and featherfins. Daharkazangel
He is still kicking, very clear his tail is broken into a 45degree angle now. He swims well and eats well. Should pull through. I've put him in a grow out tank with other bn fry but he stands out somewhat. Looks like lucky will spend his days chilling in my tanks :-) will post pics when he reaches a good photoable ( new word lol) size ;P
Daharkazangel
I know I promised pics but hes so quick I did a vidio! He has no movement in his front pectrol fins and limited movement in his tail. Please no mean comments, hes my only bn im currently keeping, couldnt sell him so he will chill in my 75 until he days are out. He is growing at half the rate of a normal bn. ~Col~
Great job!! Looks like he gets around no problem! You will probably find that he's hardier than normal. I have an albino Cory with a severley deformed spine and he has survived so much!! He's one of my favorites and I've had him for 2.5 years now.
