A Goldfish breeder I really dig....

Recommended Posts

With all the varieties in goldfish I find it cool to find someone who is challenging the traditions and looking at new colour schemes and even new varities...alot of guys in Asia are very traditional with goldfish breeds but they seem to freak out a bit when they see the magic this guy does..really nice guy too and hes always been friendly and more than willing to offer any advice on anything to do with these guys...

So heres some examples of Hermantos work.....

His own creation...he calls it batik colour scheme(after an Indonesian pattern thats similar)

Goldenswimmers- I got two fantails the other week- one is orange with black markings, which have led to the name "Fishler" because it looks like a fish Hitler, and the other one I though was very pretty- white with red markings... now when I see it, all I see is an evil clown- red lips, red eyes (red ring around eyes...) and I kinda get freaked out by it...

I'll try to get some good ones over the next couple of days- they are still a bit shy about coming up to me when I'm next to the tank- everyone else follows me around, up and down the tank, but these two are a bit slow at realising I mean food.

Man this guy just dont quit....just continues to pump out quality fish by experimenting with colours and even styles(you'd be surprised what genetics fall by the wayside as he finds/creates beautiful fish...it really is very interesting to see the formulas that create these fish)....this is the product of controlled intelligent crossing....

Check these recent guys out:

F1s from first cross(aimed at colour pattern)as juevenile

fish is now older with headgrowth forming

offspring from the above F1

If interested in looking at creating etc PM me(or do your research)..not promoting inexperienced crossing as its alot of HARD work
