Wriggler bristlenoses in a cave

Recommended Posts

I've got my first batch in a log atm. I've done a bit of reading and know they they can live on the yolk sacks until they loose them. Currently they are in between the 2 stages i've posted below (man it's hard to see in the end of the log let alone get a picture).

So my questions is do they come out when they are ready and hungry or do they need to be encouraged out?

I figured they would come out when they are ready but just wanted to know if i needed to do something.

These are just from google:

are they from my male............

to answer your question, unless dad kicks out the eggs i'd just leave them be, he will keep them in the log as long as needed, then they will come out and start eating, if you have fish that will eat them, then put the log in another tank using the same water, or a fry saver,

i came home after the weekend i picked him up and already had eggs.

only thing in the tank is whiptails and cherries.

yep, i should be cool to leave them, also they get lots of goodies from eating dads....... um left overs, you get the idea, lol,
