WTB Egg Tumbler

Recommended Posts

an egg tumbler is used for the hatching of fry...if your fish has decided to spit its eggs/ or you simply want a better success rate with how many hatch, you can collect them and place them in the tumbler, it replicates the parents tumbling action when eggs are in the mouth, it keeps them moving and oxygenated. This can also be done with eggs that aren't from mouth brooders, for example bristlenose eggs, the male fans his eggs to keep them oxygenated, occasionally you may have a male that will 'kick' his eggs from the cave, put them in the tumbler and the constant bubbling will simulate the fanning of the parent.

Hope that doesn't sound to confusing.
