woodie03
For those breeders Do shrimp cross breed? I have a tank full of cherrys but have been thinking of maybe adding another variety - Crystal Reds or mabe some of those black and white ones. But only if they don't cross breed. I wouldn't want to diminish the quality of any of these beautiful shrimp.
Ashlum
Crs will not cross breed with cherries so u r safe there. Crs and CBS will cross breed, RCS will cross breed with yellow cherry shrimp.

woodie03
all these abbreviations lol Donny I was more thinking of any more exotic types i might buy or contemplate buying. correct me if I'm wrong but Cherry Shrimp seem to be a relatively run of the mill Shrimp. I come to this conclusion due to price. They seem to be much cheaper than any others I have seen or read about on here. Nice as they are, I have been thinking of maybe adding to the planted tank but I won't if there is any risk of shrimp cross breeding. That's not my aim. My aim is to have 2 types of shrimp living happily together.
