Daharkazangel
I've recently became concerned about my 6-8mm lids on my oscar tank. They tend to hit the lids every now and then, and with them beefing up rather quick as of late, id like to know if it is possible for them to crack them. Anyone had this problem? Tank itself is 12mm thick. Cheers.
Mackayman
I'd reckon it's more than possible as the lids bounce when hit from underneath You could possibly tape them down or put something heavy on them if your worried I may even put my thinking cap on and devise a lid retainer system for my own tank as I just upgraded my lids from 4mm to 6mm due to similar issues Brendan
kasman
yep they will break, not from the oscar impact, but rather from when they land back down like mackaman says. I've got something similar to eggcrate over my american tanks, including my oscar tank, so it keeps them in but wont break.
