luckyfish
Hey all, I have a lovely large black comet called Jazz, shes probably about 25cm long and my pride and joy, and we are getting her a boyfriend in a couple of days, same kind and same size, just curious to know whats the best set up to breed them. Is a 4ft too small? Do they need hiding places? Any help appreciated Heres my beautiful girl, picture kindly taken by Greenterra
Matmatmat
MSG Wolfgang he is doing it.. We got some off him, we got two boys and a girl so not too sure whether the ratio makes a difference? But I'm pretty sure Wolfgang is breeding them? He does it in a big pond outside though.. HTH Pretty sure his number is on his signature ? If not I have it if you want it

goldenswimmers
keep female seperate for a little bit and "bulk" her up(3 feeds a day for a couple of days...but dont overfeed with each session)...good food(preferably natural/wild feed)...bloodworms are a gem...then introduce to 2 males...4ft should be fine(as long as they aren't BIG comets)...do about a 20% water change...as long as temps dont drop down...should be bang bang boogey...catch the eggs on lots of elodea or hornwort....remove all fishees....raise bubba golds....it is easier outside as you need to recreate the conditions indoors Edited March 4, 2012 by goldenswimmers
