Wanting help to move a tank, furniture, fish or even the kitchen sink

60 posts in this topic

Well the day is approaching, tax cheque is back, got my sights set on a 6/3/2 tank setup. So I'm looking at options, and help!!!. Tank is located in redbank and needs to come down to hope island gold coast. Ideally I need a ute, maybe a trailer too, looking for the safest way to transport this monster, tank is 3 foot high 2.5 foot deep, solid cabinet is same size. So I need a ute and/or a trailer, plus a couple or three spare sets of hands. Tank will be heavy, probably swearing involved. I'm happy to pay fuel, tolls beer and pizza! Or just cash to the person with the ute, would be either 9th or 10th august or the 2 weekends after that I'm thinking of pickup, depending on when helpers are available. Let me know if you can help and if you can transport, cheers in advance!!!

Im looking for a couple of people to help move a 4x2x2 from outside to inside next weekend any time that suits you. Its not a heavy tank but is awkward due to being on a high stand ,there are also 4 steps .Will probably only take 10 mins to move and an hour or so of drinks lol.

Will be at Labrador Gold Coast.

Hey guys I am planning on getting a 6x2x2 tank this saturday morning from regents park that needs moving to Brisbane city but don't have a ute only a land rover, if anyone has a ute and can give a lending hand I don't mine paying petrol and money for your time or a six pack whichever you prefer! I know it's late notice and completely understand if you can't but if anyone is free with nothing to do than please let me know! :)

A bit of a revival from the dead, but a bloody good idea.

Anyone needs a hand moving stuff on the north side (morton bay area), happy to help out. Got large boot space and a towbar and am not afraid to use it :)

On the same token hopefully sometime this year I may need a few hands on lifting my 6ft tanks on a new steel rack, but that's still afew month away :)

Cheers Mike

Great to know there are fellow members willing to go the extra mile and give a hand when needed.  I recently had to pick up a 2400x600x700 from Eatons Hill and transport to Ipswich, lucky for me i have three adult sons to help out so no need to call on forum members. The main purpose of my post is to let you know how we carried from house to trailer and then to new location, others have probably  already thought of my method but we used heavy lifting straps under the tank and over your shoulder, this way you can use the whole body to lift and not just the arms, cant believe how easy it made the lift with only four people.  Maybe this method will be of benefit to others, hope it helps.
