Felix
A mate down here in Bris used to have a couple of ice cream container sized ice cubes that he used to drop in his 6fter.... his house was a SHOCKER, low ceiling, no roof space, no insulation, no fans, no fly screens... I ended up installing a A/C in there and he ran it 24/7 at 24 degrees in summer, it was normally 30 plus most of summer in there. Felix
jabmel
11 large Americans, 2 Loaches and a SailfinLOL, dont have a heater in at all, I need a chiller !!! Brendan americans are ok in that temp, the best way too cool the tanks bar ice (freeze some milk bottles) is evap, run the air stones and lids off, fans help but only if blowing across the surface cheers
mines bigger
My tanks have been about 31 all summer, apart from The display tank, sits on 29 Degrees, not sure why but it does
professor_rob
Yeah my tank has been about 30ish all summer. The sump pump brings lots of heat as well as the lights. Ice cream bucket ice cubes won't help much with 650 gallons plus, especially when the sump pump is so warm.
