TaBeck1990
I'm just about to give it ago, I have to wait for pay day tho. But I've ordered 2x 600mm x 1200mm x 150mm thick styro foam from Clark rubber. I'm going to outline my plan in felt pen then carve it out. I'm gonna go with a boulder/rock look cause it seems the simplest to replicate. And I will try to hollow out the 'boulders' to create invisible caves for the fishies. I'm also going to hollow out an entire corner to fit a corner hamburg filter matt and hide the co2 and heater behind. Once I'm done with all that Im not 100% sure of what method I'm gonna go with but probs paint it a few times with a paint/cement mix and touch it up with other paints to make it realistic. Pickle n cheese
Awesome mate, I might have to go to Clark rubber to get some aswell, and yeah I second frinkie, you should make a new thread on DIY backgrounds, or just keep it going on this one, I would love to see how it turns out mate
TaBeck1990
I will be. Gonna attempt to get as much free styrofoam as possible. There's also a hop in east Brisbane called reverse garbage that may have much cheaper styrofoam. Gonna check it all out over the next few weekends. Will do lots of photos and posts in the DIY when I start
