Hey im curious, I buy from you guys online all the time. How do I get the qldaf discount? Or is it only in store?

Ps. Please stock HIKARI (sp?) pelllets ;P

Hi Dahar,

Please mention your QLDAF membership in the shipping instructions section on your online order form or when placing the order over the phone 07 3800 5592. We charge all credit cards manually so we will adjust the total on our end.

- In regards to Hikari i would love to stock it but due to " political reasons " the Australian distributor refuses to deal with me even though they supply several well known online stores who discount it down to extremely low margins. Same goes for Seachem also. I can easily grey import these products but i choose not to as ethics in business is everything. Unfortunately both distributors give me no credit when it comes to this.

Smells a little like price fixing to me. I once owned a bike store with a web store as well and use to cop that **** all the time, there is ethics and then there is doing what's best for your customers and yourself. If suppliers want to restrict your trade well, they leave themselves open to parallel importing and you shouldn't have to feel bad for doing it.

Hi Yowie,

I have had this issue with both suppliers for years. Its more then price. We were one of the first aquarium stores to go online in Australia and their is a lot of jealously in the industry. Our competitors complain about us constantly which puts pressure on suppliers to stop supplying us.

Do you have anything similer in quality prices and difference sizes as hikari? If I could id rather buy online, lps's here sucks and i have to go to multiple stores to get my products. Only decent fish shop here charges $10 more then the american chain pet stock located two mins down the road. In a time like now price highly changes peoples buying power. Id like to support local pet shops but sometimes quality is over looked, as well as general good service. Moral of the story Ben if you can supply me with food that's half decent for $20 per 250g you've won me over...

That works out to be $180 over time if you buy seperately instead of $120 ish for there normal price after dicount.

Under $90 for 2.27kg's of NLS was an epicly cheap price.

bulk buy is the cheapest way these days.

Lol had that too, I developed a saying to summorize that type of behavior. Those that can do, those that can't whine about those that can.

I have two oscars and various freshwater species. Angels bristlnose rummynose tetras guppy red tail sharks corys etc etc.... oscars eat the most by far lol

Hi Angel,

In my opinion NLS is the ducks nuts so to speak. for your community aquarium this is a great buy,

Age of Aquariums - Spectrum Thera A Medium 2mm 600gm

Oscar tank,

Age of Aquariums - Spectrum Jumbo Fish Formula 2.24kg

Cheaper but still a clean food for your Oscar's would be Aquarian.

Age of Aquariums - Aquarian Cichlid Pellets Large 240gm
