the cichlid kid
Hi guys, I'm considering buying a new twin 54w T5 light fitting. Just wondering what people recommend as there are so many to pick from. I'm looking for something of decent quality. Age of Aquariums have the aquilina and hagen power glo and they are roughly the same price, any experience with these? thanks in advance, Beau. Jimbo 1973
I've got a aqualina , works fine just be weary that the bulb size is different to other brands and not many LFS stock them . Cheers Jamie
a.andrew
Agree with Jamie here with Aqualina Light Units, they do use smaller globes then standard T5 Light units. Have you considered buying the Hagen Life Glo Electronic Ballast? Not too sure if you have a hood on your tank to mount that ballast on. Alternatively you can make DIY a housing for it.
