guest 11
arent bioballs most effective in a wet/dry sump or trickle sump?? id either go for scoria or coral noodles depending on what ph u want to keep your water at
guest 11
or a mass amount of purigen or macropore if you can afford it
DVS969
Yeah Bio balls are best in a wet dry, Scoria can be bought from Stone Merchants on Archerfield Rd. I would just go Scoria and Matrix and not worry about the balls or noodles.
jacobraven
Yer scoria round here i just get from a landscape supplies pick out some smaller sizes bit of overkill with nooodles and matrix? just pick one ?
Kremit
$2 rolls of gutter guard from bunnings, wash them really well, throw them in rolled up (without the zip ties/sticky tape/twist ties) water flows through it well, plenty of surface area, and cheap. Not a bad alternative for bio balls and cheap... What a lot of the commercial breeders are using nowdays, even a petshop i know off.. did I mention its cheap
