holden1862
One of my mate has a few Bala sharks and one of them had got stuck and stuff it's back. It's is twisted and he doesn't look very happy. What is the best corse of action? Will he survive or is it the right thing to put it down? Thoughts? mines bigger
How did it get stuck? And stuck bad enough to damage it's spine? If it can not swim with relative ease it will struggle for food and the nicest thing it to knock it in the head or put it in a bucket with clove oil.... Peter
It's a tough call - I've seen fish survive horrendous injuries but often wonder what sort of discomfort they went through or still go through. Does it still eat readily? Is it getting hassled by other fish?
holden1862
Bala sharks are A fish that gets scared quite easily, most times You walk near tank the Junp and Try and kill them selves so not 100% sure how it injured itself. Fish is eating fine and he getting around the tank, has been like this for a week or so. Other fish don't pick on it that much and my mate seems to think he is getting a little better but I don't think the back will ever heal? If he seems Alright I guess we just leave him?
