I dont dig catfish!! ...Is it just me...do others find these guys "UN"interesting..I don't care if there is tons of variety or if some are rare...and hey I know each to their own..but I dig a fish that swims around the tank...catfish look like alien tanks that either dont move on the bottom or hang upside down or just cruise around the bottom lookin brain dead... ha ha yee ha....lookin foward to some feedback... can spare some room for a tiger shovel nose;)(yeah I know there not allowed so like I said catfish suck!) or a red tail....but mainly cause these guys are units and have a bit of a different look to them.... Hit me with some examples of some sexy catfish that move hey if you want to defend these suckers...not a little alien cockroach lookin thing that sits on the bottom and has a different "number" because it has some dots or lines going a different way...nerd fish...ha ha .... I can't help much with interesting catfish as ..... I'm not a huge fan of Bristlenose type catties either ... Good for feeders Can't go past americans, Africans. & exotics Goldfish get a bad wrap but they were my first fish & I'm guessing alot of peeps first. I have 4 Eel tail catfish and there the most active fish I keep, Will post a video later to show.. And I also love the power and strength from the bigger natives, whether there swimming or feeding. But I have a particular dislike for clipped, dyed and tattooed fish. To deliberately mutilate a fish for "aesthetic" reasons is animal cruelty. They certainly do suck cant commment on goldfish never kept em. But I do like my bristlenose and peps. It has come to our attention that in the next few days there may be string of "incidents" or as we would call them "accidents" involving a variety of homes that keep he following spieces Gold fish Tangs Malawi GOLDFISH Guppy GOLDFISH Flowerhorns and a few american lovers Homes and we would like to go on record to state that at the time of these incidents we where all at our local garding supply centres and LFS admiring those gold looking cough cough fish... DeadFishFloating Posted March 19, 2012 Report Share Posted March 19, 2012 The most boring catfish in the world is the bronze cory, corydoras aneus. but.... it is hardy, full of personality, harmless and a useful scavenger. Hence why with a bit of linebreeding we now have the goldstripe.... and more importantly the ALBINO goldstripe. These pictures are not mine. But perhaps I shall have to get some. Heck I will even try and get a baby black ranchu in the same frame. You will come over to the dark side goldenswimmer. It has been written and so shall it be!
