Actually the southern ocean where these crabs are coming from produces seafood very low in heavy metals. Hence why there are so many poacher fleets from poluted northern hemisphere nations down there.

interestingly the crab fauna is changing with the climate

Really, cool I was just guessing :) now I'm standing by my awesome feast statement! Have you seen land of the lost? I'm thinking kinda like the scene in the desert... They eat some kind of hallucinogen by a pool and feast on giant crab!

Sorry, what?

yea I thought the same thing,

I mean its a pom news story

so do we have to work out how much meat a pound buys

and then times that by 20

to get its weight.

I mean thats how you would find out how much $2 worth of chips weighs

so I spose it would work to find out how much £20 worth of crab weighs.

seems a bit complicated though

why couldnt they just give us the weight of the crab meat and save us all the maths?

You're not wrong there DFF, but what I was really trying to figure out was how can the crab weigh less than the amount of meat it can produce, does it have some kind of helium meat that weighs negative lbs?
