Matmatmat
Does anybody have a proven dosage rate for peroxide to kill bba? I have googled and searched but have gotten varied results... So has anybody actually done it And fish survived?
mines bigger
It's just water and oxygen... Shouldn't do any harm to fish! No idea on dosage though
tuffy_rana
i would talk with paul (luohanaus) he was experimenting quite a bit with hydrogen p and algae its a strong oxidizing agent
grubby
Or you could use Excell or Dino Spit from Aquagreen which is basically Gluteralderhyde, just as effective. It can melt plants like Val though.
tuffy_rana
i used excel for a bit and it got rid of the bba. now my planted tank is going nuts without it. i have only the mundane in plants in foxtail, variety of swords, val, java fern and moss and duckweed buts its outta control. its 6x2x2 and houses dovii fry, siamese flying foxes, gold black sharks, native macro shrimp and glassies and about a billion small apple snails. i would suggest excell to knock it on the head but believe it better to cease using it after the bba ceases HTH
