barracraze
hey guys so i've decided to buy 2 red tiger oscars as i have never owned one before and the look nice too. bought them to eat up the 4.5kg of pellets i have . they are only about 8-10 cm at max. one seems to be fine but the smaller one just lays down on the bottom of the tank though it was fine when at the shop(exotic fish connections). are there any special requirements for oscars? ricksfish
they can sulk if they are stressed. if you have only just got it home today wait till tommorow and it should have picked up.
Daharkazangel
Yep they sulk....mine will sulk if I move decorations and when I do a water change. Bigger they get funnier it looks haha! Total normal, let em settle. What size tank they in?
HereFishieFishie
How is the smaller one breathing & looking? Oscars are prone to sulking. If your water conditions are fine & dandy, I say its having a sook Frenchy

Dexter
Oscars are BIG sooks. They will sulk for around 3 days when moved I have found. Just turn the lights off for a day or so and they should come to life.
