Fluval 305 impeller shaft (where to get)

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know of a shop on the north side that would have a Fluval 305 impeller shaft IN STOCK .

I need one urgently .

The impeller jams on the broken shaft and will not spin .

Is there a way of keeping the media "alive" without the pump running ?

I have a sponge filter in the tank at present ( it is not heavily stocked - 6 juvie Julidochromis Transcriptus "Gombe" in a 48"x18"x20" tank )

May consider damaged filter if the parts I need are good . Just need to get it running ASAP

I have at this stage put all the media ( except the foams ) in a CF-1000 AquaOne canister and I am now using that on the tank .- hopefully that will be enough that the tank will not have to cycle again .

Should take the urgency out of the situation - I hope !

I am hoping to do a southside Aquarium shop run tomorrow . I have no clue where any of the shops are , or of my way around the southside - and I do not have a GPS ( even if I did I would not have the slightest clue how to use it ) so I will just have to see how I go .

Sorry, was laughing at the GPS comment. Could resort to the old days of looking up yellow pages, writing down addys & names. Then plotting on a road map :)

Good luck getting new part. Judging by what you have done, you shouldn't need to re cycle. Just keep a close eye on the tank for a few weeks.

Frenchy :)

Sorry - I am old .

Refidex has worked for me for the last 40+ years but now my eyes are not as good as they were - so it is a bit hit and miss .

but GPS ,iPad ,iPhone , Galaxie et all - not a clue where to start , even if I could read the screen .
