UnexplainedWays
I've got a high flow tank with internals and am keen to put sand in it. I'm just concerned that it will suck up sand and kill the filters. If it does will it damage the filters? Also, I'm guessing that i loose a bit of sand with each vac so i'll need keep topping it up? Thanks.
Bully
What are u plans with fish, I have fine white sand mix with crushed coral in my frontosa tank with internals filters and also a fx5 pumping. I find the crushed coral being bigger will sit on top anyway so hasn't bothered me or the filters... If u start with more sand/coral then needed then what is lost with vac doesn't seem to matter... If that's what u mean... btw if u do get sand in ur filters will prob stuff them or make more jobs anyway... Cheers Steven

028NVD
I got an eheim 2226 external and an otto 2000lph internal, the otto will shift a lot of sand around the tank. Never had a problem, have found sand in the 2226 and no dramas either
