samo
Ok well the new tank is in and all the fish have settled and in looking to add some more. Currently I've got: 1 green terror 10cm 1 white riv 5cm 1 fire mouth 5cm 1 link fire mouth 7cm 1 super green Texas 10cm 1 SPJD 10cm 1 purple spot gugdeon 8cm 1 jag 7cm 1 ghost knife 7cm 2 salmon tail catfish 15cm 1 spotted rapheal catfish 1 gold spot pleco 1 common plec So I was thinking another pleco and maybe another gudgeon but othe than that I'm not sure. Ph is always at 7 and temp sits at around 26. Fire away with the ideas guys. All suggestions are welcome Edited June 23, 2012 by samo
buddy02
My suggestion is remove some fish. That tank is overstocked and u will have carnage. Hope u have more tanks for rehousing. What filtration do u have? What are your other readings like? Nitrite, ammonia, nitrate? Get ready for big frequent water changes.
samo
I have an fx5, another 1200L/h canister and an internal. Never had a problem with any of the other readings. And I don't have aggression problems either lol
lloydashton
Definately not over stocked with that filtration, i cant help with fish to put in it as im a tropheus and fronotsa fan. Americans are not my thing. But that tank would look cool
pk333
Tank is over stocked when you take in to account the size all these fish reach as adults, and the difference between aggression levels of some of these fish. Tank might look pretty empty now with all small fish in it, but these small fish are going to grow and natural selection will determine which fish end up as the final inhabitants and which fish will perish along the way. kasman
samo, filtration wont help your nitates. this is why we change water. as pk333 said when these guys are big, especially the texas, jag and GT's they will fill the tank well enough. and those plecos poo like mad lol. samo
Haha fair enough. I might leave it as is then. I pretty much do weekly water changes anyway so I guess that's why my levels stay down. Even nitrates are never a problem. Reckon I could go another plec though? Would be a good stocklist with similarly aggression fish. Just watch the jag though he will grow quickest and soon be the boss of the tank
samo
You just named most of my favourite fish thinking of off loading the pink firemouth though. He's an aggressive little *******
