Peacock Bass Havin' a sook????

Problem:- My Peacock Bass is very dark in colour and is sitting in one spot in the tank. But when i feed him his colour comes back and he hits the food hard. Then 5min later just sits back in the same spot and goes really dark. Is this Normal?? Never done this before. There is a tank beside this tank with smaller fish in it he likes to watch

Fish in tank:- Him and a Pleco ( Sail fin)

Plants in Tank:- None

Feeding:- What food and How often- Pellets and Live - Day on Day off

Recent Medication Treatments:- None

Last water change:-Sunday and this arvo

Water change every Day/Weekly/Monthly- Normally Weekly

I reckon small bass do better in a group I had the same combo and the bass wasn't very active compared to the ones I've had in a group. As they get older it doesn't bother them though.

agreed.how big is it? i think he needs more tank mates to get him outta his shell. i would try some dithers such as silver dollars or other cichlids like oscars,severums or chocolates HTH

Hes around the 15-20cm mark. Came home tonite and he seems ok. I am guessing adding anything that fits in his mouth would be out of the question .
