HELP.water level alarm

Recommended Posts

hey all im not getting any younger and my memory is not the best and with kids running aroung asking dad can you do this, fix this, get this, look at this, ect, ect.

well i have in the past left a tap running into my sumped fish rack overnight and lost alot of fish:(:(and ive just done it again but only for about an hour or so,fingers crossed the fish will be ok,it was only meant to be on for five minutes,im not very happy with myself.

so does anyone know of an alarm system that works,it needs to be fairly loud as my fish room is about 20m from the house.

hopefully someone out there as got an answer for me. ive looked on ebay at alarms but they dont look like they would submitt a loud enough alarm if anyone has got one id love to hear about it.

fingers crossed for my fish...:(

cheers marty

Its hard to be perfect all the time, some make out they are but the truth is - well you know anyway. Some people make mistakes I know I have done it before too, I tried a Boyu one which was cheap - about $10 but it only really lasted a week or so. Do not know if it just happened to be my bad luck or a reflection of the product. There are some others but a lot of the professional ones I have seen are a couple of hundred.

If you think that is the avenue you want to go down get in contact with me and will chase up some pricing or options.

Just wondering if you could rig a float switch which also might be a cheaper option.

Least u left the tap running mate I was doing a quick water change but was distracted by the tv came back to a Oscar flapping around in the bottom Of the tank and all the feeder fish I got that day down the drain now I have a filter strainer connected to the hose and clamp it 1/3 of the way down the tank

Don't know if u could but maybe something like the toilet uses might work which cuts of at designated level...

Don't worry to much about some key board comments, -brown stains an all just how they roll... Dig-dig... We all make mistakes in life... Good luck
