Sicklidd
Hello all, I'm bout to upgrade my tank and was needing some advice. Ive been maintaining a 4ft tank with african cichlids for about a year now but still very novice to it all. I would like a tank with dimensions of 8ft x 2ft x 2ft roughly to fit in the designated space but was unsure how to go about it. Should i get custom made or is there a generic 8ft tank size that would be a cheaper option? Im a carpenter so i could make a hood and stand but is it going to be one of those things that its not worth the time to make and just easier and just as cheap to buy? Essentially i would like to buy the tank then build the rest myself. If anyone could offer some of their wisdom to steer me in the right direction it would be most appreciated. I'm located in Brisbane Thanks
Keegan013
There is a website called maryannes aquarium, dennison makes good tanks and is local, Aquariums r us at meadowbrooke also do 8x2x2's but arent as great as dennison, I.e: messier silicone, sharper edges etc but they do hold water! Phil from aquariums to go is also one to mention.. And if you would settle for a little smaller age of aquariums browns plains have awesome 6x2x2's. goneself
8x2x2 is a pretty standard size, mate...I'm sure there are probably a few floating around, if you put up a wanted ad in the classifieds..if not, try hitting up aquariumstogo, orange ad @ the top of the page.
