what goneself and Daharkazangel are saying is that different types of "plecos" are sexed differently, ie common's are sexed by different features then other plecos. sooooo if you want to know what sex yours are, you need to figure out exactly what they are first.

Looks like a sailfin to me, hard to tell out of the tank. Just out of interest why do you want to know the sex as they are very difficult to breed and you need a massive pond. (Happy to be corrected but think this is right :))

Well a friend of mine have him to me.... Only got a 3ft tank looks like I'll have to sell him then as he is really no good for me

Oh I pretty sure his a males since I've seen one person selling his an it's look the same fish and his is a sail fin pleco and mine about 27cm so yea
