samo
How big are new born shrimplets? I have two little shrimp that I can see but then there are heaps of these tiny little white things hanging around some moss. When I say tiny I mean smaller than a pin head tiny. Are these baby shrimp or some sort of other organism? They're quiet fast and you really only see flashes of them. The other two shrimplets I can see actually look like little shrimp but these other things just look like white dots.
wayne6442
Mate The little white things in your tank could be a tiny crustacean of the copepod family commonly called seed shrimp. These little guys are completely harmless and eat algea and other junk form the walls of your tank and in the substrate. They are usually a sign that your water conditions are in tip top condition.I have just had a bloom of these little critters and got rid of them by introducing my trusty shrimp friendly ( my one) clown loach. He cleared them up within 48 hours and is now back with his mates.
samo
Ah ok. So they're not harmful or anything? I was excited thinking they were baby shrimp but then I saw a baby shrimp and I was just confused
