Fishgeek83
Has is been recently used near water? I had a very similar unit a few years ago, same style bulbs etc, PLU something something.. that supplier told me it was collecting moisture, to put it outside in the sun for a few days, and oddly, it "fixed it".. i did that for about a year, it failed eventually.. took it to a sparky, he opened it up and some of the connection wires were out of whack, and I'm pretty sure he replaced the ballasts. Fixed! Sold it a year later. I can't help it, but am a stickler for the 'old school' 4 Paneled tanks with seperate light n filter components on stained wood. Failing that, I've seen a number of different "install it yourself" kind of light fittings, with remote ballasts.. if you rip the guts out of that hood i'm sure you could find one to suit the space. beastybulls
cheers, ive had it opened right up, no moisture anywhere, it also has a plastic cover that u can see just in top of pic, i will get a sparky to have a look and see, but apparently it was all working and when i turned it on just one light worked and now nothing, im sure if all else fails i can get some sort of light in there, my bloody distance makes it hard to sort stuff out
__CAV__
have you got a fuse checker? thats the first thing i'd check, if thats fine , next thing you want to check will be the lamps and starters if there is any (i dont think there should be any)
