Sebastian
im thinking about getting a few yellow shrimps. are they the same type as red cherry shrimps? would a 29°C tank be too warm for them to live and breed in? cheers sebastian
Baccus
Yellows are a colour varient of the common red cherry so if you mix them they will happily cross breed, they should like a 29 degree tank and should grow and breed quickly, however a warmer tank with quicker growth can also mean they burn themselves out quicker and die earlier. Its a bit of a trade off.

Keegan013
Hey mate I have yellow cherries, I have them do best in 24deg and have had them down around 19, I personally wouldnt put them in water so warm as yours, They wont be as happy, And I dont think they would breed and live very long. goneself
I use cherries as feeders, have never used a heater and they happily get on with it..29 is about as hot as you can go,but you're just using unnecessary power.
