pony-tail
I have different PH in different tanks for different fish . It varies from around 6.5 to 8.2 . Our tap water is at 7.8 to 8.1 ( the highest reading we have had ) and is hard enough to breed tangs out of the tap .

The Tech Den
My rain water is 7 and 7.6 out of the tap. Unity water have the Ph for most area's and other items in your water. According to their testing my tap water will range from 6.6 to 7.7 with it being 7.6 most of the time and it also tells me what else is in the tap water. Interesting to see what you are drinking.... Might be a good read if you are about to move and find good water area's. http://unitywater.com/media/scripts/doc_download.aspx?did=
