~Col~
What can you use if you don't have an angle grinder?
nickm986
What can you use if you don't have an angle grinder? Purchase an acrylic cutting knife... Score along line and bend the other way - like cutting class... If your a poor fish keeper like me and cant afford the $14 for the acrylic knife, use a regular knife but cut the same line at least 3 times making the cut deeper each time - then snap
adamski84
u can use a hacksaw but the cut may not b straight and u will have to sand it down

JayPee
Good job mate. I cut mine slightly smaller and use a short piece of air hose squished inbetween the top of the divider and the rail on the tanks. Works a treat. =)
kasman
good work lachie. How much was the perspex? I had a look in bunnings the other day to use some perspex for lids and I cant remember the exact price but it was more expensive than glass to my suprise. Brisxr6t
Good job! I normally use a jigsaw on perspex, angle grinder would be more fun though lol Anyone know of good cheap acrylic suppliers in brisbane? I used to go through one years ago at cannon hill somewhere, but can't find them anymore!!!

rocky1988
There is a jigsaw blade you can purchase that is designed for acrylic or Perspex. I have used one blade for almost 4 months now considering I use it almost every day for some kind of DIY fry saver that I'm making for someone I reckon it's well worth it if you don't hand an angle grinder. Personally I am more comfortable using a jigsaw but that's just me.

rocky1988
I get 3mm pieces most of the time. Cost is around $20 for 600 by 900 sheet
marcusnsherell
We got a sheet from yatala glass 1.8x1.6x6mm, it was expensive but a worthy investment. I cut it with a circular saw. We have dividers for all our tanks now.
