Door
Chasing some ideas on how to build a vertical sump. So far the only ones I have seen are the rough looking plastic ones but im looking to build glass around 3-4 ft tall x maybe 2x2? Reason Im going twin vertical ones is because tank will only be approx 200-300 off the ground so not enough room to put a sump under. The tank itself will be 9 x 5 tall x 2 so was hoping to build the sumps either side enclosed in timber as lamp tables. Any suggestions would be great also ideas on what pumps to use would be good. In the past I've just jamed canisters on but for this I would need like 6 so thats not an option lol Edited July 31, 2012 by Door

matt_a
Forget the sump. For this one I would be going to a big inline pump into a cartridge filter and then through a FBF back to the tank.
DUCKHEAD
Maybe a 240 lt garbage bin (or two) not the prettiest but works well for me

Hey bud what do you mean by cartaridge filters and inline pumps was thinkin I will just go a couple fx 5's as there rated to 1500 ltrs each and a couple 800-1200 l/ph power heads just to be sure
