Aqua Addict
She sounds sick to me, green terrors lay eggs so they don't actually become pregnant. The only difference you would notice when they're about to breed is that the female will become plumper and she will drop her egg tube (Sticks out near her Bum). To me it sounds like the male may have been keen to breed and the female refused his advances and he beat her up so now she is hiding away from him and the other fish until she recovers, does she have any obvious injuries? If not i would test your water conditions for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH and put up the test results (if you don't have the test kits your pet shop should test your water for you). It would also help to know if she is displaying any other symptoms like fast breathing or anything else odd.
