The Tech Den
Catfish pellets are Protein 35% Fibre. 4% Moisture 12% Fat. 3% 1.Trypson inhibited Soy protein, this is done because soy flour the usual protein in fish food (apart from fish meal) if untreated or heated inhibits growth. 2.These pellets are also vitamin ramped, because of heat during manufacture you loose vitamin content so hence you need to lift the vitamin levels to compensate for this. 3.All this at the end of manufacture requires spectrographic analysis to check both Vitamin Ramping any Trypson inhibition have been Achieved. 4.These pellets are also extruded not compressed. This process of pre-expansion stops the pellets from swelling in the catfishes gut, preventing bloat. Irrespective as whether the sink or float. 5. Even as a very fine powder that can be used for fry, this food if first mixed thoroughly, made into a pellet to ensure even distribution of all additives. After this it is then crushed ground and graded into Crumble or dust. This is then feed depending on fish size. Fish Meal, Meat Meal, Wheat Germ, Wheat Flour, Multi Vitamins and Minerals, Bakers Yeast, Enzyme, Emulsifiers,(481,472) Soy Bean Meal heat treated to destroy Trypson inhibition
steve6610
can't say much about the contents, but i'm using both pellet and powder and my catties love it, i put 3 different types in including a very well known top brand and they go straight to techys food, thats enough for me, if they love it, i'm going to feed it to them, only thing they like better then techys food is their vegies (sometimes) i'll be using techys food only as soon as the other stuff runs out,
Brengun
Just started on these, a few (along with my usual foods) to all my L's even the carnivores. Never seen any left overs at all. They all seem happy and healthy although my pep male is a bit cranky since the bichir shoved him aside and ate em all!
