Seems to be pretty random..they go through stages where they lay every couple of days, then you won't see any for a while, then get a lone random, etc etc etc..but yeah, they do lay pretty often once they've started. Oh, and Nothing will eat the eggs. Even oscars won't touch em.

yes if you want to keep them, they sell for a couple $$$ and they are good tank cleaners, and they grow big so you will never get over run with them, and you only need one to get eggs, they have sex with themselves, :)

Actually apple (mystery) snails are gonochoristic.

In other words you need a male and a female to tango.

The laying of eggs is mostly related to their food and condition AND the water depth and temperature.
